FM Cecil Moncur won the 2025 Bahamas National Chess Championship, a ten-player round-robin at Noble Prep Academy from 17 to 26 January 2025.
Moncur and four-time champion Valentine Cox both went into the last round on seven wins and one loss. Moncur won their game to take his first national title.
